Miss Heather
Logo Design
Miss Heather, a vibrant children's music teacher, sought a logo that echoed her joyful teaching style. Her vision included a playful and colorful design integrating musical motifs to captivate her young audience.
Brainstorming
I was given very minimal instruction for the logo requirements. Heather was looking for a design that appealed to kids which I interpreted as colorful, sans serif fonts, and maybe some musical/youthful iconography. Here are my initial sketches for the first round logos.

First Round
The first round was to experiment with several different style options I felt fit the brief. These options were music-motif-focused and ranged from hand-illustrated with lots of movement to stylized musical instruments adapted to form each letter.

Second Round

The client was very pleased with the first-round logos but had some notes about what she wanted to see in round two.
Combining elements from versions 1 and 2, the second round of logos experimented with composition, color arrangement, and incorporated nature icons in addition to the staff of music icons.
Final Logo
The final logo involved a lot of pencil tool to individually alter each letter for a more hand-done feel. Additionally, the client wanted to pay homage to Vermont by including mountain peaks in the M as well as run the music staff behind the letters to give the impression of a river. Further revisions included transforming the 's' into a snake, the 't' into a tree, and the 'e' into a happy, shining sun.

Taking into account the client's feedback and incorporating various elements, I was able to successfully create a logo that aligned with the client's vision.
